Vickie Vainionpää is an emerging artist living and working in Montréal, QC. She holds a B.A Honours with Studio Art Specialization from the University of Waterloo. She has shown her work internationally and won many creative awards. She received the Louis Muhlstock Endowment for an artist residency at The Banff Centre (Banff, AB), and has also participated in residencies at Vermont Studio Centre (Johnson, VT), and the Ragdale Foundation (Lake Forest, IL). She will present her first solo exhibitions in 2020 at Galerie AVE (Montréal, QC) and Robert Fontaine Gallery (Miami, FL) respectively.

Recent group exhibitions include projects at Galleria Nicola Pedana (Caserta, Italy), 19Karen Gallery (Queensland, Australia), Archive Contemporary (Montréal, QC), Art Mûr (Montréal, QC), Robert Fontaine Gallery (Miami, FL), Rauschenberg Foundation (Captiva, FL), Architecture and Design Museum (Los Angeles, CA), Centre Phi (Montréal, QC) and UWAG (Waterloo, ON) among others.
